Two Individuals Charged for Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

Two men have been formally charged with murder in the wake of the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.

Watkins, forty-eight, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were taken as evidence.
