Trevoh Chalobah in action

Trevoh Chalobah emulated his brother Nathaniel in playing for England, emerging as the twenty-first duo of siblings to earn caps for the national team.

The Chelsea defender is likely to link up with the England squad to replace injured Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old footballer is scheduled to link up with the national side for England's final World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Serbia, although it has not yet been confirmed.

The national side have already secured qualification for the upcoming competition.

Chalobah was given his initial call-up under England manager Thomas Tuchel in May and then made his debut against Senegal.

In the month of September, Tuchel stated Chalobah was unfortunate to be left out from the selection for qualifying games against Andorra and Serbia, and additionally didn't call him up for the subsequent October international break.

Tuchel has been an significant influence in Chalobah's progress, having handed him his Chelsea first-team bow in the year 2021.

Chalobah has featured in all but four fixtures for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the team occupying third spot in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup last eight and in the league phase of the European competition.

Guehi suffered a foot problem in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League victory over the Dutch side in their last match.

There are likely to be additional inclusions to the selection. Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe has said that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) will be unavailable from the national team.
